Epiphone took its decades-old pedigree of hollow body guitar making and applied it to the Casino. This guitar reflects a simplicity and ease of playing that make for an outstanding guitar. The tonewoods are hand selected and painstakingly prepared for the construction process. It has a 5-ply maple body, with a set in solid mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Other high-grade features include Grover tuners, adjustable bridge with trapeze tailpiece, and nickel hardware. The covered P90 pickups are made by Gibson USA, and can deliver a suprising palette of sounds for many different styles. The results are instruments of impeccable quality and beauty. The Elitist Wood At the heart of every great instrument is the wood itself. Thats why every piece of wood used in the Elitist line is hand-selected. It is then slowly and painstakingly dried to perfection in custom kilns until it is at the ideal moisture content. The Elitist Necks All Elitist necks are cut at a 14 degree grain orientation from one piece of wood for optimum strength, stability and tonal response. As with all great instruments, the necks are then carefully and individually fitted to the body using a hand-glued, dovetail neck joint.
